Esquel cuenta con dos nuevas esculturas
En la mañana de ayer quedó inaugurada en la plazoleta ubicada en Av. Perón y Av. Alvear la escultura titulada “Arriba y debajo”, junto con la obra “Aguas Surgentes”, ambas de la artista Diana De Erraste, oriunda de Epuyén.
La obra “Arriba y Abajo” fue seleccionada en el marco del “5to Encuentro de Escultores” organizado por la Secretaría de Cultura de Esquel, en un proyecto conjunto con las Secretarías de Medio Ambiente y Obras Públicas y la colaboración del Instituto Provincial del Agua (IPA).
Se trata de un trabajo mancomunado que tuvo como objetivo la intervención de las casetas de riego a través de obras escultóricas.
En diálogo con Radio Fénix, la escultora Diana De Errasti recordó que presentó cuatro proyectos para el Encuentro de Escultores y “Arriba y Abajo” fue una de las obras seleccionadas para embellecer un sector de nuestra ciudad.
“Se trata de un aro, una cintura, una especie de ecuador donde se organizan piezas encontradas de hierro, algunas están hacia arriba y otras hacia abajo, y la parte de arriba tiene color, luz y la parte de abajo tiene oscuridad y es casi toda negra”, explicó la artista.
“La idea es representar esta dicotomía que tenemos en el mundo en el que los que estamos abajo estamos medio tristes y apesadumbrados y estar arriba significa estar en la luz, el color y la alegría”, agregó con respecto a la obra principal que se inauguró en la mañana de ayer.
También señaló que la idea original era que esta obra se emplace en la caseta de riego que está en la plazoleta de Avenida Alvear e Yrigoyen, pero después reclamaron esa caseta para poner un busto, entonces esta escultura se reubicó a último momento en la caseta de Avenida Perón y Alvear.
“Aguas Surgentes”
Por otra parte, De Errasti comentó que, con todo el material que le sobró de la primera escultura, decidió hacer una segunda obra que tituló “Aguas Surgentes”. “El día que terminamos la obra Arriba y Abajo, estaba rodeada de materiales y entonces tuve esta inspiración del agua, pensando en el IPA, que ellos querían una escultura referida al agua y surgió esta obra con árboles de leva”, detalló.
Finalmente, la artista de Epuyén destacó que ambas obras fueron realizadas con material reciclado proveniente de la Planta de Tratamiento de Residuos y de otros lugares del Municipio de Esquel. “Estuve una semana trabajando en estas dos obras en el corralón de la Municipalidad de Esquel”, concluyó.
